Poetic interventions rooted in each city’s literary heritage and urban context are generated using a Markov Chain algorithm, a mathematical system that models sequences of possible events.

Hand-embroidered facial expressions bring Yeti’s emotions to life. Rich in humour and optimism, the work celebrates the power of believing in yourself.

What happens at Earth’s poles affects us all; combined, they are our planet’s thermostat. Loss of ice in these places has a direct impact on our seas globally; and weather, perhaps the principal consideration for all who go to sea, becomes increasingly unpredictable.

This generative artwork explores global warming and ice-melt, with the 2025 Tall Ships Races as an anchor.

Beneath the burning desert sun, metallic roots twist, a feathered snake glides, and arms of water flow through an Earth tree, glistening with fireflies. On motley rocks corn sprouts as mushrooms take root. Night falls, stars shimmer, and branches of Araucaria extend spiked arms in search of an embrace. Quaresmeira flowers bloom as the Spider Goddess scatters seeds in this virtual landscape.
